A Big Family Thanksgiving in Houston

TURKEY!
Engelhart4judge.com 2008 headed over to his sister's house in the Meyerland section of Houston this afternoon for a big family Thanksgiving celebration. There were 11 of us all together, including my sister, her hubby and 2 munchkins, my brood, my parents and my Aunt from NYC. My brother-in-law outdid himself with the turkey and fixins, and for a change, I didn't stuff myself beyond all comprehension.

Engelhart4judge.com 2008 hopes that your Thanksgiving was warm and fuzzy, that you get back home safe and/or that you get help with the dishes. I am looking forward to the onslaught of Xmas parties and will see you all a lot over the next 5 weeks, I am sure.

As this year winds down, with the coming and going of turkey day being one of the last signposts, I am thankful for this wonderful opportunity that I and many other Democrats have been given (and are taking full advantage of) to serve our community as judges in Harris County. As the demographics and other indicators swing quickly in our favor, I will, for my part, keep in mind the awesome responsibility I will be taking on starting in January 2009. I can't wait.
