Engelhart Early Endorser Emerges Victorious in Houston City Council Race

MELISSA NORIEGA ELECTED TO HOUSTON
CITY COUNCIL AT-LARGE POSITION 5

Congratulations to Melissa Noriega for her victory over her Republican opponent in yesterday's Houston City Council election for At-Large Position 5. Melissa will now serve a full term on City Council. Melissa won the open seat in a special election in a runoff in June 2007. She then had to immediately start campaigning again for the November election. She was victorious on November 6, and will not face a runoff this time.

Melissa was an early endorser of mine, and a good friend. She is, of course, the wife of Democratic U.S. Senate Candidate, Rick Noriega.

So, the moral of the story is that it pays to endorse Mike Engelhart for Judge.
