December off to an Inspiring Start for Engelhart

December is off with a couple of bangs for engelhart4judge.com 2008. The enthusiasm this morning at the Senate District 6 & 15 Democratic National Convention delegate training session was incredibly contagious. The community room at the Northwest Mall at 290 & 610 was overflowing with activist Democrats anxious to be part of the 2008 national convention. I saw some of my new friends from the campaign trail. There were at least 15 judicial candidates there, too. It was like a mutual admiration society, as the candidates expressed their appreciation for the great turnout for the chance to represent Texas at the national convention, and the potential delegates thanks the candidates for their hard work toward turning Harris County blue again.

Then, the engelhart4judge.com 2008 green hybrid coasted silently from the Northwest Mall to Demeris BBQ on S. Shepherd for the Oil Patch Dems Holiday luncheon. This new and unique group of Democrats focuses on Progressives and Blue Dog Dems in the energy industry. I had not made it over to an Oil Patch meeting previously, and it was great to meet them today. The number of new and different kinds of Democratic groups springing up in the area speaks volumes about the blue tidal wave washing over our fair County. I was honored to get to speak with them and get important, substantive feedback about what they see as the keys to 2008 as well.
