Great First Month Fundraising Results!

We did it! From June 6 through June 30, thanks to the hard work of our incredible campaign organization, volunteers, interns and friends, we smashed our fundraising expectations. We raised over $20,000.00 in that period, which is more than three times as much money as any Democratic district court candidate raised in 2006. This money came from more than 30 different donors. We are well on our way to our 2007 goal of $250,000.00. I can assure you that if we should happen to lose this race, it will not be because of lack of money.

And, we've barely scratched the surface. Our interns are creating donor databases to assist with fundraising calls. We will have a kickoff fundraiser, and several house parties and fundraisers throughout the summer and fall. I am really looking forward to that. Contact me or my manager, Jaye Sutter (JayeSutter@gmail.com), if you would like to host an event for us. People are really enthusiastic about our campaign, and that is just adding fuel to our fire.

Thank you to all who donated and talked about our campaign with relatives, friends, neighbors and coworkers. Keep it up! We'll need your help all the way through November 2008.

I am grateful to all of you for your efforts and encouragement. Now on to the next fundraising period.

Happy 4th of July. I'll be at the Kingwood Independence Day Parade, and then the Annise Parker BBQ. I'll have my petition with me for your signatures, so bring pens. See you there.

And don't forget to get registered to vote. Register others, too. They can click on the big link to the right to get the application, or call me, and I'll mail them an application. I have a bunch of applications as well, and if you would like to set them out at your workplace, let me know. I can also help you get sworn in by the County so you can get applications filled out by others and collect and turn them in.

Mike

UPDATE:

By the way, the money we raised between June 6 and June 30, 2007 included my summer vacation in Corpus Christi from June 9 - June 16, so we were really only fundraising for 17 days, so that's more than $1000 per day. Let's keep that up.
