Engelhart4judge events over the next week and 1/2
First, we are high fundraising gear now that school is back in session and people are focusing on the task at hand. We expect to have fundraising letters go out to groups of potential supporters, and we are arranging house parties and larger fundraising events throughout the fall.
Tomorrow night, Thursday, August 30, 2007, I will be at the Peter Brown dinner tomorrow night:

This weekend I will be (probably Sunday afternoon) at the Labor Day festivities hosted by several of the local construction unions, including pipefitters, longshore, electrical and Local Plumbing 68! The event is at the Pasadena Rodeo Grounds at 7601 Red Bluff in Pasadena. There will be a kids BBQ dinner (no, they're not actually cooking the kids) at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. On Sunday at 2:00 p.m. is the brisket competition judging, and Mayor White, and Pasadena Mayor John Manlove will be there. Looking forward to that one.
After that is Labor Day. I'll be stuffing envelopes that day, I assure you.
Then on Tuesday night it's off to Austin for a 3 day CLE seminar on Advanced Civil Appellate in preparation for the October 15 board certification exam I am taking (in my spare time). I'll be in Austin through Friday afternoon. While I am there, I will be attending the first meeting of the year of the UT Democrats. I am hoping for a minute or 2 to speak, and I understand it will be well attended as Rick Noriega is slated to speak.
