Breaking News

Facebook, MySpace, Fun!

I will be out of town for about a week starting tomorrow. I will leave the faithful with some homework, however. First, we're still looking for a good digital video camera to borrow. Please let us know if you have one for us. We won't break it -- promise.

We've gotten heavily into the social networking sites. It's easy and somewhat addictive. Once you start, it is like decorating your first house -- you just have to get one more thing and you find yourself begging the neighbors for their 20% off Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons. There's always one more thing to add.

You can check out our Facebook profile HERE. Check out our MySpace page HERE. In Facebook, we started a group called Texas Democratic Candidates HERE. I belong to about 1 gazillion Facebook and MySpace groups, as well.

The State Bar has started a social networking group called the Texas Bar Circle or something. You really have to be a lawyer and get a free account to make use of the following links. So, if you're a Texas lawyer, you can check that out HERE and visit my profile HERE, and the group I started, Democratic Lawyers, HERE.

Also, the Texas Democratic Party has gotten into the act, and you can check out my profile on their social networking site, called Moving Texas Forward, HERE where you can join or create groups supporting issues or candidates. You can see my Houston/Harris County Democratic Candidates group HERE.

Finally, Mary Flood of the Houston Chronicle and I have been having fun on here Houston Chronicle blog called Legal Trade. Here's a blog entry that references her earlier story about me. This link will bring you to the 2nd of 2 entries, which has a link to the first story in it.

Have a great week. I'll check in next weekend. In the meantime, make sure your friends are visiting our site, and signing up for our Google discussion group, and making contributions. As always, we'll be grateful.

Mike
