Another Great House Party for Engelhart and a Super Bowl Blast!

The engelhart4judge.com 2008 green hybrid coasted silently in electric only mode over to 3702 Louvre in west Houston for Canret, LLC's and Charles and Chryshanthi Vethan's excellent house party fundraiser last Thursday night. The Vethan's friends and neighbors, and others, packed the beautiful home in the fancy new subdivision. The Vethan's home is finely decorated with hardwoods and leather seating. They were kind enough to hoist the Mike Engelhart for Judge red banner onto the banister, and Mike and his volunteers got to meet a bunch of fine people who all expressed enthusiasm for his candidacy.

Mike spoke for about a little while and took questions. One guest kindly said on the way out that she hadn't been much of a voter in the past, but that Mike "made [her] want to go out and vote right now!"

Well, soon enough. Early voting starts February 19!

Last night, the hybrid coasted silently over to Sugar Land to the home of Robert Rolnick and Dori Wind -- two active Democratic movers and shakers. They had at least 50 people there for a Super Bowl blowout, which was tremendous fun. Mike had the place to himself most of the night, handing out cards and talking about Democratic politics. There were few Republicans and many Harris County voters to be found. Many people said they could not be more excited about Democratic chances in Harris County this year, and were just so fired up about the fact that we have a full slate of candidates, and even contested Democratic primaries. Mike got home in time to watch the last Giants' drive with his family. Even though Mike was disappointed about the Patriots not finishing off a perfect season, Mike's Dad is a giant Giants' fan, so they spoke after the game. Which was nice.
